About Lucky Mountains Events

Lucky Mountains Events was founded by Connie Miconi and Krista Venero in 2017 when we "rescued" a signing that had been abandoned by its host. Since then, we have hosted Royal Book Bash annually, as well as various music-themed book signings and writing conferences/retreats.
Why "Lucky Mountains"? Connie owns Lucky 13 Book Reviews & News. Krista owns Mountains Wanted Publishing & Indie Author Services. So we combined "Lucky" and "Mountains" to get Lucky Mountains Events! |
Connie Miconi
Connie writes as CA Miconi. She began reading at the age of five and has never stopped. Her childhood was filled with multiple readings of Gone with the Wind, the ultimate tragic novel. CA got her own happily ever after when she married her retired military hero, Gary, on a beach in Key West on St. Patrick's Day 2010. She began her author services company, Lucky 13, in 2015 as a result of her love of reviewing, sharing, and talking about her favorite books, mostly romantic suspense and stories featuring strong alpha heroes, especially law enforcement and military. CA also hosts and sponsors author and reader events, and never dreamed she’d one day attend as a signing author. When she’s not reading, writing, or working with authors, CA enjoys traveling, spending time with her grandchildren, golfing, and cheering on her beloved Baltimore Ravens.

Krista Venero
Krista Venero writes under two pen names, Phoebe Alexander and K.L. Montgomery; edits books for indie authors; runs the 6000-member Indie Author Support group on Facebook; and is the co-owner of Lucky Mountains Events. She lives in coastal Delaware with her husband, sons, and fur babies, but she’s still a Hoosier at heart. You can often find her on the beach or in the pool when she’s not busy writing or editing.
